First Edition, prototype

(craft)paper, collage, aquarelpencils, acryl paint
This first hand-drawn version of A Letter Without Words was made for a friend after she had shared something very personal with me. I made a visual letter, because I couldn’t find the words to tell her how moved I was by her story and that she had trusted me with it. Paradoxically that was when the words did come to me, leading to the poem Een verzonden brief [A Sent Letter] .
Currently I am working on a printed version (possibly several versions without the poem), so that others too can send a visual letter to their loved ones when words fail them, yet the wish to stay connected remains. I also draw customised letters based on a personal story shared with me, which can then be given to someone else or kept as a loveletter for yourself.
More information coming soon! If you’re already interested in a personalised, handwritten letter for a loved one (including yourself), please get in touch.
-Here you may find another handdrawn version of The Letter Without Words, focussing on the theme of Sexual Violence.
